Isis International Women’s House (Bahay ni Isis) is only a short ride or walk away from some of Metro Manila's best shopping malls. Also situated locally is the Government district, and a range of Non Government Organizations. The bus transportation hubs nearby also point north and south in the Philippines and the metro train line is also a short tricycle or taxi ride away.
For visitors coming to the Philippines and who are not familiar with the tricycle as a mode of transport -
(Tricycles consist of a small carriage attached to a motor cycle) and are used frequently for travelling short distances around the busy areas of Manila. Other transportation modes readily available in the area are taxis and the ubiquitous jeepneys which of course are unique only to the Philippines.
Within five to ten minutes walking distance are banks, fast food and fine dining restaurants, cafes, spas, shops and grocery stores. Budget meals are readily available in the neighboring streets where simple eateries and street stalls serve good Filipino food.
The University of the Philippines, with its sprawling, botanic, park-like campus, also Ateneo University and Miriam College, are nearby, as well as the Quezon Memorial Circle Park. Venues for "money exchange" are located in most areas, also in many supermarkets.
